Meeting for Clinician Scientists in Training February 25 2010 Royal College of Physicians, London "...highly impressive..." "...incredible positive feedback ... inspiring conversations..." This was an extremely successful meeting once again (programme details here). There were four Young Investigator Award finalists (from a very competitive field of 24 original submissions), four oral plenary speakers and 127 posters on display. The keynote speakers were Professor Sir John Bell, President of the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Medical Research Society Gordon Cumming Memorial Lecture, Professor Mark Pepys from the National Amyloid Centre, Royal Free Hospital, UCL. Over £4,000 of prize money was awarded by the Society itself (£2,000 to Young Investigator finalists; £550 to those giving oral plenaries; £1950 in other prizes including the Raftery prize - list of prizewinners here). Furthermore and thanks to the very generous support of the Pushpa Chopra Trust a further £4,000 of grants were also awarded on the day. Download programme & abstract booklet.
